Fullscreen is a free one-column photography and multimedia theme for WordPress that can be used for portfolios, photoblogs, videoblogs, and virtually anything else where you want your content to be front and center. It provides visual artists (photographers, painters, videographers, motionographers, illustrators) a better way of presenting their latest work online using a minimalist side-scrolling homepage. Emphasis is placed on your content, rather than on an overly designed theme. If you are a free or paying subscriber to Graph Paper Press, Fullscreen can be downloaded from your member page.
We think your site should highlight your content, not our design. Our design takes a back seat so that your content can shine through front and center. The homepage of Fullscreen is an amalgam of your latest visual content, organized in a hierarchical manner with your latest five posts featured twice as large as the preceding 20 posts. Single post pages are 950 pixels wide, enabling your post large photos, videos, or other work that is important to you. Three widgetized areas give you customization control over the bottom (footer) region of your site.

Thanks Thad! I got my site working. And I really love the theme…way so cool!
I’ll keep the 950px width. I think it will do just fine on some users that still uses 1024 as their screen res… =)

The problems seems to be only a Mozilla problem.
Any ideas how can fix it?
IE looks good.
It was a cache problem. I cleaned it, now it’s ok.
Let’s customize!

I have inserted a logo instead of the Blog Title (for the homepage), just like Matthew Brady Clark did. How can I adjust the position of the logo (f. ex. vertically)? I can find no base settings in the stylesheet … thanks a lot for any help.
Ok, found it. Just inserted a new div style.
hey dany! do you think you could help me understand how to insert a logo instead of the blog name as you were describing?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!
KBlack
Hey Kblack, once danny shows you how to insert the logo….can you show me how you did it? thanks. lol
Hi,
I wanted to try out this theme on a stand alone website (not my usual site).
The theme looks great, but the complete lack of instructions is frustrating.
I don’t know if I want to have a photo blog or invest in a lot of time and money — I just want an idea of what it can do.
Not having any directions on installation does not entice me to pay for a membership. Also, if the theme is this great looking and this non-documented, it’s not something I’d want to recommend or showcase to others as an example or push affiliate sales.
Further, there are some themes on this site that have great appearing thumb nails (such as the Author one), but the demos do not work — one has to install them to have any idea what the theme looks like.
Circular links for a demo site that doesn’t include the theme one wants to see speaks poorly.
I know this may comes across as a whine, but really, great looking free themes should be enticements for your membership and affiliate programs, not difficult and discouraging just to demo and try out.
Ummm….Your statement about instructions is totally inaccurate. Have you read the installation.html file contained n the FREE download. We give you step by step instructions. We have basically done everything fo you except upload the theme to your server for you.
Regarding your question about some of our old themes, yes, the demos are down and will remain down. They are free to download, too.
Hi there,
first of all – thanks for that great theme. I looked around quite a time yet but didn’t find such a clean and pure looking AND acting (!) theme with so few conflicts to plugins until now.
But (there’s always a “but”
) – I need some help. Though I read the instructions
I need a hint how and where to set the page for the “forward-image” (the little arrow on the front page). I don’t want people to klick on that arrow pointing only to “#”
I would like to link to the latest post – unfortunately I’m not very familiar with WordPress functions and loops etc., so any help provided would be really great.
Cheers, Gwinn
Hello,
I too am having trouble with my homepage image showing the dreaded red x. I read the thread from Phutie above. My image settings and PHP5 are correct. I have noticed one thing though. When I go to the “red x” image properties dialogue box, next to ‘Dimensions’ my listed dimension is 88×30 (not 320×320). Is there a way to correct this?
Thanks.

Hi Thad,
I have spent alot of money on things to get my photography site up and I saw your theme and thought it would work perfectly with my photography. I am using the f8 theme and cannot seem to find any documentation on how to go out about editing it. Before I spend money again, I want to be sure that this is not going to painful and a waste of money. Please help
I am trying to add categories and it’s not working. I had godaddy upgrade to php5 and it’s still not working. What am I doing wrong?
Do your categories contain posts? Empty categories won’t show if they don’t contain posts.
Well I tried to post, but there isn’t a a drop down list for me to select the category. However, I did upgrade today to 2.8.2. Don’t know if that could be affecting things because I was reading that other people had the same problem when they upgraded.
I have been trying to set this up but can not figure out why the pictures in my posts don’t show up on the homepage. Just get XXs.
Love the theme!
Hi Eric,
Don’t know if you figured it out yet, but in order for the pictures to show up, you have to create categories. From the categories there is the add picture, your categories should be to the left, click on the one you want and your pictures should show up.
Ok, so now I have the picture and have a fairly basic understanding on how to get this site going. However, I am ready to add the remaining 20 pictures at the bottom and it’s shifting them over. Also, the arrow is not there. What am I doing wrong and what should I be editing. I read the html file over and over and doing lots of research. Suffice to say that I learned alot in the last 12 hours
where exaxtly do I put the jquery?
No hint for the problem how and where to set the page for the “forward-image” (the little arrow on the front page). I don’t want people to klick on that arrow pointing only to “#” …? PLEASE!
Thanks, Gwinn
I can’t get the images to show up, only the “alt” text displays… I’m using hostgator with php5 ….

First of all: Thank you for this great theme.
But as you know: with a great theme comes a big responsibility and even bigger questions ; )
In my case i have trouble getting my nextgengallery lightbox to work alongside your dropdown-navigation. having just basic coding-knowledge i suggest it has something to do with the way the jsquery-engine works.
maybe someone has a clue how to fix this. help would be very appreciated.
i already tried to implement the “jQuery.noConflict();”-fix in the header.php – without success…
thanks in advance
M.
solved it by myself:
replacing the “$” in nav.js file with “jquery” did the trick.
Just in case anyone should have the same question.
thx again.

server is enabled on PHP5. Am still getting questions marks or XXXXmarked images on home page. Made two categories too!! ? Please help?
Also is the thumnail page not included in this download? I am using a free version for now?
On the fullscreen home page, I seem to get XXX only sometimes and not others. Any Ideas??
Any idea why some of my posts and uploads make thumbs and others do not??
Adam
I think I’ve got the XXX worked out. But I’d really like to know how you create the “galleries” pages ie. http://graphpaperpress.com/demo/2009/?attachment_id=129
I like the two small thumbs.
How did you get the “xxxx” problem worked out? I am having the same issue right now. Please advise, thanks!
“server is enabled on PHP5. Am still getting questions marks or XXXXmarked images on home page. Made two categories too!!”, uploaded images in folders with the right permissions…
Doesn’t seem to work properly. Please help!
Thank you.
I had the XXX thing, the way around it was to delete the contents of the post and reload the images. seems to work the 2nd time around for some reason. I changed the pref to 777 and it still happens occasionally.
adam
So what am I missing if the rollover thing on the front page doesn’t work?
PHP5 should be on, 777 thing done, media settings set.
http://www.jamesatwoodphotography.com/theblog/
Ok, solved, I don’t know why, but my JS directory was missing from the fullscreen directory.
thad, I’ve read the threads on this site as well as the instructions very thoroughly, and am still having a problem.
I have enabled PHP5, added a category, changed the media settings, and CHMOD’ed my /cache, and still when I add a post, no thumbnail is created for the front page. In firefox all I get is the ‘alt’ text, and in chrome I get the ‘broken image’ graphic. is there something else I should be doing? I’ve been at this for hours
hey! i see you were having trouble with getting the thumbnnails at the bottom of your fullscreen theme. i can only get them at the top, my bottom is completely blank! did u get this fixed? if so, any tips?
thanks so much!
kblack
Nevermind! I figured it out! Some weird code was added I needed to delete.
Thanks!

Hi, How do I amend the default “you@email.com” to my email address please? I’ve read the instructions and I’m not permitted access to the support forum (because Im a free member perhaps?). Thanks. Im googling all over the place to finish this one last thing on my website. Ta.
Ignore that. I worked it out. Thanks. It took me all day to give up and post here and then immediately after posting I worked it out myself. Such is life.
How did you do it? I still hadn’t worked that one out.
D’oh, it’s in the instructions. Well, my rollover effect still isn’t working, that’s the final thing.
Does anyone than me have the problem how to put the arrow on the frontsite directing to a post? I don’t understand how this could be forgotten by the developers (or I don’t find the solution which is likely) – it destroys the whole navigation.
Anyone out there who could help?
That arrow is for scrolling, when you have too many posts to fit on the front page.
Ah, ok, thanks – I’m still setting up the page and didn’t post that much until now. So it’s natural that the arrow doesn’t work. Great, thanks for that information.
All the best, Gwinn
When does the “Pro” version come out again?
[I'm just wondering because the reason I paid for a (now almost-expired) three month membership was to get the pro version of this theme, back when it was due out "in a couple of weeks."]
I am watching others suffer this same fate. I will not pay for the membership until it is released.
Rick
Question: my pics are 1024px wide, is it possible to modify the theme from 950px to 1024px ?
Thx
Hi. I would just like to ask how to make the gallery page just like the Tenth test post. I’ve read the instruction included in the pack but it’s not included in the instruction.
Thank you.
How do you something like the nineth and eleventh post? When you rollover on the thubmnails, the link shows that they are attachments….How to do this?
How do I make posts like this one: http://graphpaperpress.com/demo/2009/?cat=11
I really like this theme and I would like to use it to my future blog. Thanks.
I’d like to know that too!
Still no reply.
upload your photos using add media in wordpress
(need more than 1)
save all changes
go back to add media and insert gallery on post …
done…
Really nice theme …! Any ideas for fixing this image-problem? I’ve the same problem like John.
john says:

i just upload an indipendent thumbnail…. solved
I’ve tried too, but i couldn’t… do you mind to explain step by step the praxis, please?
Thank you
the easy way, without creatng an actual thumbnail, is to ‘right click’ your image that you want as a thumb, whilst vewing the post page. In the right click menu, select ‘view image’. This should bring the image up in a new page. Copy the URL in the top bar and past into your post editng page in admin. You will see an area to the bottom of the post admin page that asks for thumbnail URL… Update and check the page. This solved the problem when I got it…. hope this makes sense. I should stop replying when tired….J
Hi,
My theme is missing a navigation tool… when i click on a thumbnail to access a post, I can’t navigate to an older/newer post without going back to the homepage and clicking on another thumbnail. I am missing the “previous” and “next” navigation buttons on my post pages!! this is very frustrating, especially as all others with this theme seem to have it…. PLEASE HELP!
Jamie
Me too. I don’t have the next and previous button.
found the answer… the previos/next options navigate between posts of the same category. I previously had no categories so, now I do, i can navigate. NB: I also made a category called “ALL” which linked to every post so that I could navigate everything, not just independent categories…. that was annoying! hope this makes sense?! Its late and Im tired
Thanks. I also discovered it while posting an uncategorized post. ^^
I got these warning on my pages in Firefox… can someone help?
my site is http://www.h2himagery.com
great theme by the way!!! thanks

hi luke!
could you let me know how you got a different font/or uploaded a logo to your homepage instead of the theme loaded WordPress blog name?
I can’t find where to edit this in the code. Any assistance you can give would be appreciated…
thanks!
kblack
I can´t see the thumbnails on the frontpage, i see the “broken image” red x.
great theme. but i’m facing a problem..
any idea how i can add the sidebar on the left side of the entries? i’m having a headache over this..
pls drop me an email if possible
thanks.
Any idea how i can make a category like Matthew Brady Clark (http://www.mbradyclark.com/)that includes all the categories. (His says “view all”). I would like to know how to do that. I’ve looked all over the place and I’m probably just being stupid but I can’t find the answer anywhere. Any help?
when you are editing your categories in the admin panel, just create a new category called ‘view all’. Then, on each post, as you create them, check the ‘view all’ box to the right. Do this for all posts so that they all appear in that category. much the same principle as the default ‘uncategorized’ category…
hope this helps
His site has this view all category but when you look at the categories under the post you can only see the specific category. Do you know how to make that? Thanks.
Hello,
I have read over the instructions for a couple of days and I have gone through the posts. I have checked my version of php, i have changed my permission on the /cache folder, I have uploaded my images to the Media gallery. I have tried to add the front page images through the URL, Media and Post option. The js folder is the correct directory.
I currently have the broken image graphic on my home page.
I can’t seem to figure out why the images will not show up. If you click the broken image it will take you to the correct post. Do you have any other suggestions?
Thank You
I think you need to upload a photo for that particular post since you uploaded a video it doesn’t have any reference photo to show.
Thanks for responding. I have a photo there or at least I think it is in the right place. Can you tell me where the photo should be?
Thank You
I think you need to first upload the photo you want to show for that specific post in the Media section. Copy the link. Edit your post.
In the Edit Post page you can see a portion saying “Post Thumbnail” paste the link that you copied there. Then save it.
I’m not sure if that will work. I haven’t tried it yet.
Good luck!
Hello!
When i set the “wmode”,”transparent” at the video-embed.php , the backround will hide, but im not want to hide backround. Any idea ?
Great theme, thanks !
Does anyone know any way we can add audio to the theme?
How do I amend the default contact information on the home page?
Left msg on the board and an email…no response yet. I’ve replaced the lines on 16 & 17 in nav.php and it still has the old info up. Is there something I’m missing here? How can I amend this?
Make sure to edit both entries, you’ll need to input the email address twice.
I am having the same issue! Can anyone help me edit the contact information?? Thanks!
Wouldn’t work for me till I fixed php file in RTF and uploaded via FTP. Tried it in WP editor and directly on site and errored both ways.
This theme is great! Everything is so thorough. Thank you, Graph Paper Press!
Hello,
Can someone please show me how to lineup thumbnails in posts? Exactly how the demo is setup. demo I have the shadowbox plugin and when I insert several thumbnails, it lines up as only one column…
Thanks!
I hear there is an update for this theme. How does one update the theme exactly? And does it effect what is currently published on my site??
I think this theme is great. There are a few things though that I would like to suggest as improvement. I like how the photos are showcased when you click on a gallery, however, I think there should be a feature where you can mouse over the photo and click on the left/right side and go to the previous/next photo respectively, similar to lightbox. I dislike the feature of clicking on the photo and it opens the individual photo’s original in a completely blank white page. That seems useless to me and breaks the flow of the site. Instead, there should be a link at the bottom or in the corner or something that allows the viewer to open the image itself in a new window. Also, when in a post that shows a gallery of photos, I feel there should be the ability to add comments to individual photos, along with the post as a whole. The comment button is too inconspicuous and was not easy to navigate to when I was looking at the preview. I really like the built in HD video player feature though. Something I thought should be built in along with galleries.
Please consider these changes. I think they would not be unwelcome. If you are concerned about whether or not people will like it built in or not, make them options that a person can enable/disable.
I think graphpaperpress designers make great templates. I just feel there are a few refinements that should be included in the designs. Thanks for taking the time to read my comment/feedback.
Thanks for the suggestions. As you know, I’m sitting on Fullscreen Pro, and might have to add a few of your suggestions to the mix.
