Introducing Snaps – a free portfolio and photo WordPress theme

Snaps is our newest free WordPress theme that showcases header images, grid layouts and post formats in a beautifully simple design. The theme includes social media icons, support for custom backgrounds, footer widgets and integrates with the theme customizer. The default home and archive pages support thumbnails in vertical orientation (portrait photographers rejoice!) and includes layouts designed specifically for mobile devices. Visit the Snaps theme page to download the theme for free.

        Theme works great. I posted my collections on main page with blog posts and featured images and redirected URLs to each collection archives (with Redirection plugin).

      Yep! “SEO friendly” is a loaded word though used quote often by snake oil salesmen. Good content = Good SEO, simple as that.

    Can the entire main header image be clickable to send you back to home page instead of only the type? I don’t want to display site title.

    Hi there and thank you for this theme. I like it but it is really too bad it doesn’t support square format for images on front page. I would have to change all my pictures size to use it… http://www.color-lounge.com

    What size should “featured image” to be in a post to make it fit best on the front page? I have tried to find it in the support pages and even asked on http://wordpress.org/support/theme/snaps

      There is a setting for thumbnail size in Media->Settings, you need to set this to a minimum width of 240 before uploading any media. If you’ve already uploaded, media you can use the “post-thumbnail” plug-in to edit your current thumbnails.

    I’m new to using this theme – how do I make it so my home page isn’t a scrolling back but my posts show side by side with the featured images like it does in the sample theme picture?
