Photo Galleria Plugin for WordPress

Photo Galleria (download Photo Galleria now) is a simple, yet elegant, WordPress plugin for photographers and designers who want to beautify their WordPress photo galleries using an elegant jquery script. The Photo Galleria plugin synchronizes Galleria with WordPress’ built-in media manager. Simply upload photos as normal and the Photo Galleria plugin will create a photo gallery with fade-in and fade-out effects common on flash-based websites. All the transitions happen inline without having to navigate to multiple WordPress attachment pages. Pretty neat, eh?

Photo Galleria displays the thumbnail images that WordPress creates for you and displays the original, high resolution uploaded image. Both are constrained proportionally via css. You can control their display size via the two CSS files included with the plugin. By default, the thumbnails display at 125px by 125px square and the image displays at 950px wide. Virtually every aspect of the presentation of Photo Galleria can be controlled via CSS.

  1. It looks promising.
    But the gallery doesn’t display the same way depending on the chosen template. Most of the time the gallery is just plain ugly — ex: completly offset on the sidebar.

  3. @logicalnot – you need to modify the attached css files to make photo galleria fit the width of your site.

  4. WOW!!!! this is just what I’ve been looking for.. so simple to use and elegant. It also works on older posts that have images. this is awesome!!

  6. I should’ve read your ‘to do’ list as I’ve just spent considerable time trying to figure out how to display the main image at load 😉

    I found this during my research:

    http://devkick.com/talk/topic/62/

    In my opinion, your plugin needs to display the main image first and glad to see it is number 1 on your to do list 😉

  8. i’ve just upload photo but i found this message:
    “The uploaded file could not be moved to /mounted-storage/home70b/sub004/sc40547-CMVP/mes56.com/wp-content/uploads.”
    can you tell me how to resolve this?

  10. Thad, I would happily donate to your plugin if it displayed the main image as well as thumbs, not instead of.

    Displaying a main image is fundamental to Galleria.

  12. I can’t seem to figure out what I am doing wrong, the plugin wont work for me.

    I uploaded the file to plugins folder, activated it, used the google API AJAX plugin and activated that, deleted any Javascript from the header and from the Photo Galleria plug in.

    When I upload images and click insert gallery all I see is a next and previous button but I dont see any images?

    Any one any ideas what I am doing wrong?

  14. @garrison – This isn’t so much a plugin issue as it is a Galleria issue. To my knowledge, it is impossible to use both the “active” state and custom thumbnails. I’ve attempted to ask the developer about this, but can’t get a response….which I translate to mean it aint possible. Without the ability to use custom thumbnails, page load times dramatically increase, as does the flexibility to use thumbnail size specified from within WP.

    @Jay – check to see that you don’t have two JQUERY’s in the head of your site.

  16. Thanks Thad but are you saying it’s impossible to do in WordPress?

    The demo on the developer’s site shows the main image from load AND thumbnails at the same time. In essence that’s the whole selling point of Galleria.

    I’ve seen an example of Galleria being successfully implemented on this WP blog:

    http://blogthemesplus.com

    Main image loads, and then thumbnails. Is this possible to achieve with your plugin?

  18. @ Garrison – No, it is possible. Originally, I built the plugin with this functionality. I removed it because I wasn’t able to load custom thumbnails simultaneously with the active state. Outside of the WP code, it is easily possible to load custom thumbs and the active state.

    I personally preferred giving readers the option of choosing their own entry point. In future editions, I’ll likely package this into an option checkbox within an photo galleria admin page. This, as it stands, is the beta release.

  19. at the version i downloaded, it seems like the last is not closed, so instead of

    $output .= “nn”;

    it should be:

  21. Is there a way to switch the position of the image and the thumbnails? say i want the thumbnails smaller and stacked to the left with the image next to it. or the image on the bottom with the thumbnails floated on top.

    where would i edit that. theres nothing in the CSS of that nature and im not too good at editing jQuery/js/php.

    any help?

  23. Nice try but there are some things that really don’t work well on this. First off, it loads all main images in the background so if you have multiple posts on a page, the page takes forever to load. Also, if you have multiple posts per page that have images, posts lower on the page load the main image in the space reserved for the first post. Very confusing for the user and impossible to navigate.

  25. My students and I are having the same problem as Jay. We’ve installed the Google AJAX plugin and deleted the two instances of javascript in the plugin.

    When the page loads, there is still a Galleria-related jQuery in addition to the one generated by the Google AJAX plugin, but I can’t see how it’s still being applied:

    jQuery(function($) {

    $(‘.gallery’).addClass(‘galleria’); // adds new class name to maintain degradability

    $(‘ul.galleria’).galleria({
    history : false, // activates the history object for bookmarking, back-button etc.
    clickNext : true, // helper for making the image clickable
    insert : ‘#main_image’, // the containing selector for our main image

    I’ve looked at my header.php file for the Options theme, but don’t see any javascript that’d be conflicting, unless it’s courtesy the Smoothgallery plugin that came with the theme, though that doens’t look like it runs jQuery.

  27. I should add that this plugin looks like it rocks and has my students psyched to get using it. They’re very excited to get this Web site going and a good part of that is the gorgeous innovation this plugin will bring to the site. Thank you for creating this.

  31. I’m a novice at this but when I activate the Gallaria plugin – it breaks the Modularity theme. Basically my home page then stops having a slide show, makes “image1” full size and static, and breaks the slider below.

    Any advice would be much appreciated as I really want to use this but can’t without messing up my site: http://www.melbourne-photographer.com

  33. got a crazy problem. photo galleria spans my pages when used with Monochrome Lite.

    I have a couple of static tables in the sidebar, but they seem to be ok – all proportional. they do work with all the other content. but if I insert a gallery the sidebar goes… “downstairs”:

    any hint about this? thanks a lot

  37. I want to add the gallery directly into the loop on the single.php file. I can’t use the [galleria] shortcode on the post content because the post gallery needs to show up in a separate tab that I have manually added to my posts.

    I tried but it didn’t work. I will really appreciate if somebody can help me to do this.

  39. Hello Thad,

    I am into this problem as the previous user that the main image doesn’t load until one image is clicked from the thumbnails.

    I have tried the normal workarounds on the internet as making <li class=”active”… but it does not work for me …

    I am very much frustrated as I have been trying a lot.

    I would be very thankful if you can tell me the workaround for it …

    I am really stuck!

    Many Thanks !!!

  45. @Everyone – I just updated the plugin and added the demo to this page. The new plugin works with the latest version of jQuery that is packaged with WordPress.

  47. The plugin doesn’t work for me. While it does turn the images into thumbnails, it doesn’t make them are clickable. Also, the mouse cursor doesn’t change to a hand. And there is no big image on top.

    I have WordPress 2.8.5.

    Your example works fine for me. So, it’s not my computer. Let me know what you think.

    Also, your support forum is free, correct?

    1. I fixed one problem, but noticed another. I removed the auto-framing option of my theme. It added extra html, which was the plugin’s jquery code did not expect. So I can view the gallery on each post’s page now.

      The new problem I noticed is: on the home page, where the most recent blog posts are shown, the thumbnails have an error message “error loading [filename].” Maybe this one is really a bug with the plugin. Not sure. Let me know.

      By the way, I’m using plugin 0.2.2, and it’s the first time I’ve ever used the plugin.

  49. I downloaded the plugin and couldn’t get it to work like the example above either. Everything seems fine except for the size of the main image which is just barely bigger than the thumbnails. Any ideas why? I have not modified any of the css files for the plugin and did not have an earlier version installed. I have currently disabled the plugin in favor of the built in gallery display.

    1. Try deactivating one of the many lightbox plugins you have activated and see if one conflicts. The more plugins you have activate, the more likely your site is going to load slow and the more likely there will be javascript conflicts.

      If you find which one conflicts, please report it back here.

    2. One more thing Jim….

      The plugin displays your medium size image. Since your medium size image is 270 pixels wide by 150 pixels tall, I imagine that it’s displaying this version, which is only slightly bigger than your thumbnails. You can easily change this to the large size image by opening up photo-galleria.php and changing line 119 from:

      <code>__abENT__lt;code__abENT__gt;__abENT__#95;__abENT__#95;abENT__abENT__#95;__abENT__#95;apos;size__abENT__#95;__abENT__#95;abENT__abENT__#95;__abENT__#95;apos; =__abENT__#95;__abENT__#95;abENT__abENT__#95;__abENT__#95;gt; __abENT__#95;__abENT__#95;abENT__abENT__#95;__abENT__#95;apos;medium__abENT__#95;__abENT__#95;abENT__abENT__#95;__abENT__#95;apos;,__abENT__lt;__abENT__#8260;code__abENT__gt;</code>

  53. Thad,

    Thanks again. I tried both of the plugins you suggested. The Additional Image size plugin threw a bunch of errors and I couldn’t get it to work, but the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin worked like a charm! It took a while because of the number of images on my site but seems to have done the trick!

    On the home page, where the most recent blog posts are shown, the thumbnails have an error message “error loading [filename]” and the big image does not show.

    What is the cause and solution for this?

      In your Settings menu, choose Media and set the size of Small/Medium/Large images. Then add [gallery size=large] to your page.

  61. I was trying to get this to work on wordpress (2.8.6) on a ‘Page’ (not ‘Post’). The problem was it didn’t always autoload the first large image in the gallery, you had to click the thumbnail to show the first large image. (problem was only in IE6, 7, 8.)

    Solution was to use Alexander’s version posted above, and change where he wrote is_single to is_page, now seems to be all good across browsers with galleries on ‘Pages’. (warning this will break it for ‘Posts’ though and maybe other locations, Im not using any posts, just pages).

    1. I use the Galleria in the F8-lite theme. With the Galleria 0.2.5. everything just worked fine but after I upgraded to 0.2.7. in a page it doesn`t show the big pictures anymore even if I cklick on them… how can I get back to Galleria 0.2.5?

    2. This might have already been answered, but in response to Levi, instead of changing is_single() to is_page(), you can add a conditional comment is_single() or is_page(). Then below (line 92) change !is_single to !is_single() & !is_page() to allow for pages as well.

      I ran into a similar problem and this seemed to fix it.

      Hope that it helps 5 months down the track =D

  63. Hi. I treasured to drop you a quick note to express my thanks. I’ve been observing your blog for a month or so and have plucked up a heap of sound information as well as enjoyed the way you’ve structured your site. I am setting about to run my own blog however I think its too general and I would like to focus more on smaller topics.

  70. I have been using Galleria WP with success for my purposes. I like using many galleria shortcodes on the same page. I am currently developing this gallery software in conjunction with “add from server”.

  73. Hello,

    I’ve searched high and low for information on the galleria plugin, for not so computer savvy people such as myself. For the life of me, I don’t understand what has to be done once it’s installed in the WP plugins. Can I only use the WP media uploader to work with this plugin? Can I not use URLs? And do I just need to type [galleria] to call out the plugin? Gargh. Thank you for the laymen questions, I’m just really loving the way this gallery looks–simple, clean, elegant, no popping windows, etc. Would love for some help and truly appreciate it!

    Thank you verrrrrrrrrry much!

    1. it could be the finest plugin ever, but without documentation it’s just trash. Part of the WordPress success is because of its extended and detailed documentation, and this plugin doesn’t look even close to the expected quality.

    2. All you have to do is place the create a new gallery in the wordpress create/edit post screen. if your thingy doesn’t load it might be that your theme is either loading an earlier version of jquery or even enqueue-ing it the wrong way(if it is I can try and help with the code, just reply here). I don’t know about the via URL stuff.

  75. Hi, having some problems with this plugin… it seems to work perfectly in safari (which is what i use at home) but when it is viewed or i try to edit using IE or Firefox the gallery just doesnt load correctly, i am fairly novice at css, but managed to change it so it worked in safari just fine, in fact it was very easy! However the main problem i have when viewing in IE is that the thumbnails that are generated only show the top left hand corner of the picture (i’m guessing 108 by 108 px worth) How can i get this to chow the whole thumbnail and also the main image as it does automatically in safari?

    Please help, very confused and frustrated

  77. Any way to integrate exif data of photos? Would be a very valuable addition. Love everything about the plugin, just wish there was a way to display exif data, say, in the 'info' section. Thanks for the excellent plugin.

  78. The plug-in is free, yet to access any info requires a paid subscription? Is there anywhere else with instructions on how to use?

  79. The instructions for using the plugin are contain in the plugin itself. Please refer to the readme.txt file (all plugins have this file for instructions). We also posted FAQ's on the plugin settings page: Settings – Photo Galleria.

    Our forum is paid access only, because we pay developers to provide support 7 days a week for WordPress users.

    1. you guys should write this block of text into the description of the plugin or anywhere into your site, not after 200 comments.

  80. Glad you like it Adam!

    Currently, no. Extracting EXIF data would require more programming. If we decides this makes sense to include in the future, I'll update this thread.

  81. First of all, I just love this Galleria and really want to replace the dumb flash gallery that I am using right now. But there is one problem that I really want to see it changed.

    This Photo Galleria plugin works great when i view it at the post. But there is a big problem. When I go to my archive posts (from the category tab), I can see all the thumbnails in every post. But when I click on the thumbnail, it takes me to the attachment/file of the picture; and that's so not what I want. I want to know if there is a way to change the hover link of the thumbnail so when I click, it takes me to that particular post id.

    thank you so much for your help

  82. Version 0.3.2, when using debug mode shows errors but seems to work otherwise. So, perhaps something needs to be checked out to verify compatability with wordpress 3.

    This is in either Firefox or IE

  83. I am having tons of trouble integrating this plugin into my theme in a way that works with ie6, ie7 and ie8. Nothing appears at all in any galleries in any of the internet explorer browsers. I need help please. Everything looks and works just great in firefox and safari. please see http://www.cpricework.com

  84. When I activate the plugin. My site’s css breaks. On initial load of the page you see the page rendered as it should and once it finishes loading all items, the css is turned off. I am using the on assignment theme. Really want to use this plugin as it does exactly what i want. This only happens IE

  85. Hi,

    I am currently using the Photo Galleria plugin for updating our website and we can’t seem to get it to function correctly in IE6. It works correctly in IE7, IE8, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari.

    If anyone has had experience and knows how to fix it I would really appreciate it. If you need to see the code you can see the plugin at http://jgvisualdev.com/jgvis/people-photography/.

    Thanks a lot for your help.

    Jonathan

    1. For those wondering how to handle this problem, I went ahead and used an IE conditional statement so the plugin wasn’t loaded in IE 6. Now the site loads up thumbnails in IE6 that users can click on. While the plugin doesn’t work for IE6 users it still gives them an appropriate user experience.

  86. I don’t understand why the Galleria.loadTheme javascript is not automatically included by the Plugin. I am to be expected to view the source of your demo, work out what’s missing and install this javascript into my template?

    I can do that but don’t want that javascript being on every single page, I only want it on the gallery page itself.

    Is this an omission of the latest update or something I’m completely missing?

      1. Yeah, I think you’re missing something. All you should need to do is:

        1. Install the plugin
        2. Insert a gallery of images into a post or page. (Click INSERT GALLERY
        button after uploading them into WordPress)

        If it isn’t working, you might have either a theme or plugin conflict. In
        that case, switch to the TwentyTen theme to see if that fixes it. If it
        does, it’s a theme conflict. Deactivate your plugins one by one to see if
        it’s a plugin conflict.

  87. I had a partial-second black screen flashing when a person loaded a new page on my site. After troubleshooting my settings and a number of plugins, I discovered it is caused by the Photo Galleria plugin. Or, perhaps the plugin is conflicting with another plugin on my site. Not exactly sure, but I do know that disabling the plugin fixes the issue. I disabled all multimedia plugins, with the remainder having to do with security (disabled some of the more active ones), a contact form, and a few utility type plugins.

    FYI. Hope this helps. Appreciate the effort that has been put into this plugin.

  88. I really, really like this plugin and the clean and simple look it gives galleries. The one thing that renders it completely useless for me though is the inability to have multiple galleries on one page. We spend so much time getting our sites to look good and consistent – to build a plug-in that completely breaks any design you may be trying to achieve makes no sense to me. I understand that if someone were to have 10 galleries on one page, with 10 large images in each gallery, the page would take a long time to load – but many users know how to properly re-size images and control how many posts are visible on a single page. Why not give them the option to have multiple galleries (the default could still be one, with warnings against changing it) instead of limiting an otherwise great plug-in to the lowest common-denominator?

  89. I am using version .32 on wp 3.0.1 and it works wonderfully, BUT I have made the gallery very specific to hold only 25 images at a time. Is it possible to add more images to the gallery, but also “hide” a few images so that I stay at 25 total images on the rendered page? It looks like I have to delete image to keep them from showing up if I have more than 25 in the gallery, BUT I would like to keep all of the images I upload in the gallery to have a reference of what I have used in the past. Thanks for your help

  90. I have installed the latest version of this plugin that is supposed to solve issues in IE, however I still have the same problem. In IE7 and IE8 nothing appears at all. The gallery just disappears and I am left with only text on my page. Can someone please assist, I love the elegant look of this plugin and cannot find anything similar after months of trying.

  91. Hi. This plugin is cool. The images are placed at 50%. That’s cutting off the top and bottom. So I set crop and pan to true, which works to a certain extent. The problem with these features is that it always pans to the bottom and one must scroll up before they can pan up. How does one fix this?
    Works fine and consistently across Webkit, Gecko, and Garbage i.e. IE

    http://modaellipsis.com/wp/

    1. I’m thinking it’s contained here:
      mousePosition : function(e) {
      return {
      x: e.pageX – this.$(‘stage’).offset().left + jQuery(document).scrollLeft(),
      y: e.pageY – this.$(‘stage’).offset().top + jQuery(document).scrollTop()
      };
      },

      addPan : function(img) {
      var c = this.options.image_crop;
      if ( c === false ) {
      return;
      }
      if (this.options.image_crop === false) {
      return;
      }
      img = img || this.controls.getActive().image;
      if (img.tagName.toUpperCase() != ‘IMG’) {
      G.raise(‘Could not add pan’);
      }

      var x = img.width/2;
      var y = img.height/2;
      var curX = destX = this.getStyle(img, ‘left’, true) || 0;
      var curY = destY = this.getStyle(img, ‘top’, true) || 0;
      var distX = 0;
      var distY = 0;
      var active = false;
      var ts = new Date().getTime();
      var calc = this.proxy(function(e) {
      if (new Date().getTime() – ts 0) {
      this.setStyle(img, { top: Math.max(distY*-1, Math.min(0, curY)) });
      }
      if (distX > 0) {
      this.setStyle(img, { left: Math.max(distX*-1, Math.min(0, curX)) });
      }
      });
      this.forget(this.get(‘stage’), ‘mousemove’);
      this.listen(this.get(‘stage’), ‘mousemove’, calc);
      this.addTimer(‘pan’, loop, 30, true);
      },

      removePan: function() {
      this.forget(this.get(‘stage’), ‘mousemove’);
      this.clearTimer(‘pan’);
      },

      But maybe it’s in the function above?

  92. Is it just me or the Photo Galleria isn’t working on IE?

    I saw several sites who have this solution implemented. All it’s cool in FF and Chrome, the gallery works like a charm… but on IE it either doesn’t show up at all or it just fills the window with a black background.

    1.  I use WordPress and the WordPress Themes for almost five years and must say I’ve not found a better platform for building and managing a website. Doesn’t matter whether you’re blogging, have a store front, create a massive business site or need a basic, static website to promote your services and products – WordPress can manage it all.
      And te themes are not only good for personal use, but also for your clients, makes it easier to customize to there style.

  93. Just changed the photo-galleria.php in my plugin directory (see the following code http://pastie.org/1359936)
    I build html around the foreach image… but nothing happens: galleria.js seems to overwrite my work!
    There is someone so nice to support me in this easy issue???

    I’m frustrated…I’m considering to migrate to another gallery plugin.

  94. I just updated to the newest version of Galleria and now my photos are no longer being displayed at their full width (950 px). I checked the CSS to make sure the input stayed at 950 but the images continue to remain small.

    Any help would be great.

    1. I figured out the problem is that it no longer supports lightbox.But lightbox was the best feature as far as we’re concerned–do you have a way of getting us a version that supports lightbox again?

        1. if i buy a theme from Galleria, how will i get lightbox feature work with your plugin?

  95. I have tried the Galleria and I noticed a lower image quality when displayed next to traditionaly inserted image. Is this something that can be fixed? thanks

  96. Hi there.
    I upgraded to the new release of photo galleria, and now the quality of my pictures is very poor.
    May be you could help me out.
    Before it worked fine. So a downgrade could be fine.
    Thanks a lot

    1. Sounds like you either:

      1. Installed incorrectly
      2. Have a javascript conflict with another theme or plugin

      We have tested 7,8,9 and it works for us, so it’s likely a local issue to
      your install or a theme or plugin conflict. In that case, switch to the
      TwentyTen theme to see if that fixes it. If it does, it’s a theme conflict.
      Deactivate your plugins one by one to see if it’s a plugin conflict.

  97. Just to let you know… I just upgraded and the new version is preventing me from installing any other plug-ins:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function hpt_rmdirr() in /home4/lookitwe/public_html/diywithwordpress/wp/wp-content/plugins/photo-galleria/photo-galleria.php on line 559

      1. Hmm… I ftp successfully on this account every day, so I don’t think that’s it. The old version worked great, is there someplace I could download that one?

        1. Hello,

          Same problem for me.

          It appears that the function hpt_rmdirr() is defined in the plugin “Tina MVC”. If this plugin is not installed, install and updates on wordpress will fail with this error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function…”
          So you should update your plugin to have your own function to recursively delete folders (like you did for photo_galleria_copy_themes() ).
          ref here:http://svn.wp-plugins.org/tina-mvc/branches/v0.3-dev/tina_mvc/helpers/tina_mvc_admin_functions.php

          You’ve been too fast copy-pasting this article 🙂

          Regards,

          Alexis

      2. Disable photo-galleria and the error goes away. If it is active the plugins do install you have to go to the plugin section to activate the one you just install. Not sure if it word-press 3.1.1 that did it or the latest plug in update. I get the same error on line 559.

      3. As far as I can tell, Alexis is right that the hpt_rmdirr() function is not defined within this plugin. Can you advise where this function would need to be defined within the photo-galleria files to make installing, upgrading, etc work without errors… or release an upgrade? I don’t want to install the Tina MVC plugin just to make this work. Thanks!

  98. This doesn’t work on a static page, call to gallery_shortcode() seems to fail. Works on a standard posts template however.

  99. I tried to use it with Atahualpa 3.6.7 / WordPress 3.2.1. and it only creates a background colored box (background as selected in the settings) but the image gallery function does not work.

  100. After updating, to .0.3.0 my slide show  shows only as two
    columns of thumbnails. Not sure what to do to get the slideshow moving again.

  101. Have been using the plug-in for some time now and its been working great. However when I updated to 3.2.1 WordPress it only shows two columns of large thumbnails on the main page and then when you click the post it works in gallery mode there. Some help would be great!!!

  102. hello,

    I’m trying to add caption to the images, in the readme file it said “Yep. If you got ’em,…”

    what is ’em ??

    Thanks
    Sarah

  103. photo galleria doesn’t seem to display thumbnails on twenty eleven theme. it works fine on twenty ten. Any idea when this will be fixed?

  104. I have got it working on my blog entries, but on my home page it just displays the thumbnails and there is no slideshow gallery, what am i missing?!

    1. The problem is most likely in your theme’s jquery enqueue. Open your functions.php file and check if you find something like: “function my_jquery_enqueue…” and if it’s loading an older version of jquery below 1.7 or 1.6 not sure what’s too old but I know 1.4 doesn’t work for me. I had the same problem after upgrading but after I changed my jquery enqueue code to:

      if (!is_admin()) add_action(“wp_enqueue_scripts”, “my_jquery_enqueue”, 11);
      function my_jquery_enqueue() {
      wp_deregister_script(‘jquery’);
      wp_register_script(‘jquery’, “http” . ($_SERVER[‘SERVER_PORT’] == 443 ? “s” : “”) . “://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7.1/jquery.min.js”, false, null);
      wp_enqueue_script(‘jquery’);
      }

      it worked!

      Hope that helps.

  105. This looks so great but I can’t get it to work – I have followed the instructions, and the javascript is being generated but the problem seems to be there is nothing inside the galleria div tags. Is there something obvious I haven’t done?
    Thanks!

  106. I found this is an informative and interesting post so I think so it is very useful and … I am hoping the same best work from you in the future as well. In fact your creative writing ability has inspired me.

  107. Photo Galleria works like a charm. Surprising how hard it was to find a straightforward WordPress slideshow plugin that uses inherent media gallery (i.e. not requiring you to upload your images to another directory on your site). Image/slideshow dimensions a cinch to resize. I’m a very happy user.

  108. Many thanks for the exciting blog posting! I truly enjoyed reading
    it, you’re a brilliant writer. Simply put i added your blog to my
    personal favorites and definitely will look forward for further
    updates.Great Job,Thanks…

  109. Photo Galleria is not working with WP 3.4.1 like it did with previous versions. Is an update in the works???

  110. Any chance this has been, or is being updated? The WP.org page doesn’t reflect any updates for a few versions of WP.

  111. In version 0.5, using the WordPress version 3.4.2, gives an error on all pages that have not created a gallery. Galleria Element not found. I’m using the theme Magazine Basic

  112. I’m having an issue with the photo gallery pluggin not displaying photos when running Firefox 18.0 on a Mac. Anyone else see this issue and / or know of a fix?

  113. Suddenly this started to happen.

    Init failed: Galleria could not find the element “.photo-galleria”.

    It is there or it is some java which not can be fetched.

    Solutions?

  114. hi good plugin, but it has a problem whithin mobile devices: it leave a lot of space before and after the image, the reason is because it keeps the given height in pixel. I will try to solve. If anybody did it please post the solution. tranks.

    1. solved 🙂
      more or less, change the height value with

      height: $(‘.photo-galleria’).height()

      instead of
      height: and php value

  115. HI,
    This must be the dumbest question ever: How do I get the plugin working? Do I have to type some code on a page?? There’s no button…

  116. I cannot get my captions to appear for my pics. It used to work, but I upgraded the WordPress version, and now it stopped. There is no “i” to hover over. What happened, please help!

  117. is anyone else also having issue with height on mobile devices ? because i get lot of blank space between top of the container and than between image and thumbnails ?

  118. I keep getting this error: Init failed: Galleria could not find the element “.photo-galleria”. The element .photo-galleria is in the html however when I look at page source. When I search for a fix on this there isn’t much out there. Can you help??

  119. Is there any any way to change the location of the “i” info button on the picture so that the caption shows up on the bottom of the photo as opposed to the top right corner?
