Theme Instructions

Photolog

Photolog is a Photo Blogging theme which can be used both by bloggers or Photographers. It has a simple two column design with the Featured Image on one side and the content on the other. The Image gives you a preview of what your post is about and will attract readers to read the well laid out content with enough white space. A lot of effort has been given to make your site easy to read and make the design look good on all devices. For mobile and smaller devices the layout squeezes to one column layout so the reading experience is not compromised.

Demo Content

Optional: You can download a demo content file here that you can import in Tools -> Import. In many cases just importing the demo content will not work since you will also have to make some manual configurations. Please go through this documentation to fully understand how the theme works in order to customize it to fit your needs.

Set up

The theme requires very little setup. It automatically displays a list of your latest posts.

The image on the side of the post is the post Feature Image.

The theme will use a Large version (Settings -> Media -> Large) as backgroud image in the post header area. This means that the part of the image that is visible will vary depending on the browser window size.

Menus

To learn how to use Menus, please see this video.

This theme supports three menu locations:

  1. Primary Menu (in sidebar)
  2. Social Menu (in footer above the credits)

Here is how we recommend you setup your menus:

Use thehe Social menu exclusively for social media links. Give each link a name and paste the urls to your social media websites. The theme will automatically convert the link to an icon for these sites: WordPress, Facebook, Twitter, Dribbble, Google Plus, Pinterest, Github, Tumblr, Youtube, Flickr, Vimeo, Instagram, Codepen and LinkedIn.
