Theme updates for Modularity, F8, High-Def, Modslider and Modfolio

You can now download theme updates for Modularity, F8, High-Def, Modfolio and Modslider by visiting your member page. These updates are for WordPress 2.8.1, so please make sure you are running the most current version if you want to get the most out of these theme updates.

Notable improvements

Optional full-screen HD video display on homepage
Cross javaScript framework compatible – this means, you can now add plugins that use any other javaScript library than jQuery.
Revamped theme options. Fewer clicks!

Feature changes

Theme Options – Show or hide contact info in the menu.
Theme Options – Easy selection of categories. No more searching for category IDs! (for 2.8.1 only)
Theme Options – Add your custom logo.
Navigation issues in IE fixed.
Slider overlapping issue fixed. Now only pulls posts that has images.
Dynamic slideshow also pulls posts that have images so no blank frames.
Static slideshow reads from the slideshow folder and automatically pulls 5 random images at a time. No more hard-coding needed. You only have to upload your images in the slideshow folder.
Choose to show slideshow or a video on the main area on homepage.

i’m don’t understand how you charge for the themes?
does ‘$99 each year’ means if i buy the member this year and i still have to be charged next year and next year???

  Mostly all of our themes are FREE. Our theme service provides support for themes, updates, and access to a couple themes not available if you sign up for a free membership.

Your paypal system is giving error messages all the time. I get error trying to log into Paypal during the purchasing process although exactly same login credentials work just fine login directly into Paypal!!

Also, howcome there is no contact info anywhere on this site? This is hardly the way to get technical problems through but I can’t get “support” without subscribing so basically its a catch 22!

Great themes but hey guys, you need to shape up with the customer support bit!

I installed modularity and when i try to upload imgs I get “The uploaded file could not be moved to /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/htdocs/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2009/08.”

installed the update for Modslider…and IE is freaking out with it. I’m still trying to figure out how to fix, but just letting you know. The menu is not working, nor the slideshow and it’s showing the top 3rd of the next picture below it and my categories are showing up as one giant list down the middle of the page. fun times. I’ll post if I figure something out. (I have the latest version of wp installed).

I upload the files via ftp and then unzip them in my file manager from my host site. I deleted the files numerous times and it does the same thing every time. I was very excited to try out these themes. Can you please assist me? Thank you.

I found the same error with F8 Remixed. I guess it’s GraphPaperPress’ way of convincing you that you need their forums and support service: by packaging only partially working themes. It’d be more honest to just say: these are the free unsupported themes and you HAVE to pay for these. If I saw a theme I really loved and there was a cost attached I’d pay it. Finding a theme I really loved that was free, then finding it is broken, doesn’t make me want to buy it, it makes me think the developers are being shady bait-and-switch business people or that they’re incompetent, so why would I want to take a chaace with their support?!

  @Michael – Your analysis is 100% incorrect. F8 Remixed is a (free) child theme for Modularity (not free), meaning that, you need Modularity for F8 Remixed to work properly. You can get Modularity onces, then download any one of the child themes that we develop for it. WordPress child themes are nothing new to WordPress, but the concept is sometimes difficult for newbies to understand.
